Lots of catching up!!

Ok I have a LOT of catching up to do!!

A month ago my mom and I went on a road trip with Shelby to see mom’s BFF cousin Genie and her son Patton with their new baby. We had a super fun drive up there stopping at some of the roadside yard sales and small town antique shops!

 

Patton and Stephanie live in this beautiful neighborhood in the middle of the rolling hills and pines! This is the view at the end of their street!! They live in this gorgeous house on an acre on beautiful Longview countryside!

This was Shelby’s first hotel stay. She slept on a fluffy hotel pillow in between mom and I and surprisingly didn’t move an inch all night and slept 12 hours!!

Stephanie and Patton’s baby, Drew, was only 9 days old, 6lb, and so adorable. We did a little newborn photo session for the little princess!

Big brother was soooooo sweet to her and even enjoyed playing with Shelby! Can you rub off on June a little please!

 

 

Three weeks ago, was Joseph and Brittany’s wedding!! It was gorgeous!! There were 6 flower girls, June being one of them.

Brittany looked absolutely gorgeous !!

I love the pic below, Sara was sling’n candy to the babies to keep them quiet and happy the whole time. …what happens when you mix 6 toddlers with a bag of starburst??

When it was the girl’s turn to walk down the isle, June and Claire ran and Sophie walked perfectly slow with her hands behind her back like she had been practicing for weeks!!

The rehersal dinner was at this Italian restaurant ,Grapinos . Charlotte decorated it so beautiful with these vases with coral and fish hanging and little blue lights in shells with sand.

June enjoyed the blue lights!

 

June LOVES her Aunt Marjorie and sat in her lap for a good portion of the evening!

She really enjoyed her Uncle Billy too!!

June had such a fun time running around hyped up on handfuls of starburst! I love how you can see Claire in the background climbing under the table!

We had a great time and the reception was absolutely gorgeous at the Rice Hotel Downtown! I didn’t take my camera in because the valet was pressuring me to hurry.

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend we took the girls to Grammy and Pa’s beachhouse in Galveston.

Shelby is really starting to like the beach now that she can get around and be a part of all the action! Saturday morning we took all the kids down to the beach for some fun!

June runs straight for the water as soon as we get there. I remember doing this when I was little. It was like I just couldn’t wait a second for my feet to make contact with the water and run in to my knees, jump, splash, repeat!!

Shelby was shoveling sand into her mouth until Grammy went bak to the house to get her passy!

Caroline was a a speed course towards the water, she would I don’t think her little hands feet stopped once the entire morning. We kept pulling her back again and again and straight back into the water she would go!

 

What is it about my kids and eating sand????

They made slides by scooting down on their bottoms…..ummm can you imagine the result of this process, two words, saggy britches!!

  

After lunch the kids pulled out the extra mattresses and ran and jumped to their hearts delight for a good two hours!!

I love the sound of three giggling toddlers and two laughing babies, it makes my heart smile!! Life is full of simple pleasures!

After the kids wore themselves out on the mattresses, I filled up the baby pool for more fun!

The weather was soooo nice so we all sat downstairs on the patio while the kids played with chalk!

 

 

All the big kids layed down while Grammy traced them! They love being traced and decorating their outlines!

Seems like she should have grown out of eating random things by age two…guess not!!

 

Then the kids pulled out the fish that Jimmy caught and played with them! EEEEWWW

I love how Claire is in the background realizing how nasty her hands smell after holding the dead,frozen, slimy, fish.

If you look closely you can see that yes, in fact, his nails ARE painted. No comment!

Grammy marked and labeled everyone’s height on the post. Claire marked them again after that.

Later that evening we went back to the beach.

      So much fun! Everyone ready for dinner?! We had such a full day at the beach. We came back yesterday, tired and ready to prepare for another long week! Thanks Grammy and PA for a fun weekend and all the delicious food!!
