What is the world?

We have been studying about creation lately and last week it occurred to meWHAT IS THE “WORLD” to a TODDLER? a very DIFFICULT concept!

We made paper mache with paper strips and glue made from simply flour and water! June did not like getting her hands dirty but Shelby LOVED it! She did the whole thing mostly alone! I was truly amazed! She would dip and stick, and then I would smooth them on the balloon!

edit2edit3

It didn’t take but a few hours to dry outside in the BLAZING HEAT!!

June painted the oceans blue and clouds white. Then we put ModPodge to make it shiny!

While we waited for the world to dry, June used the leftover paint and some felt and glitter to make this picture of the world!

Psalm 89:11
The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth; you founded the world and all that is in it.

It has the four points that we talked about today on it…

God made the World, God made Junie, God LOVES the world, and so God loves Junie!

and our verse “For God so loved the world”… John 3:16 a

Shelby still likes to eat paint so we tend to stick with mostly nontoxic markers…which she still eats…sigh

My prayer is that my girls will see the world as God sees it. That they will burden for those who do not know Christ. And that one day they will know God, and tell others of His gospel.

Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Mark 16:15
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Isaiah 12:5
Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the

Matthew 5:14
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

John 3:17

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:19
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

Creation!!

Today we learned that God made the world…and June and Shelby live in the world!! God loves the world so that means that God loves Junie!! And God LOVES Shelby!! We read and memorized John 3:16a “For God so loved the world..”

earth2

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God called the darkness “Night” and the light “Day” the first day

Then God made the SKY! second day

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs

to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that

they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,

,
in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them.

While June and I painted, Shelby had a creation box to plant the trees and play with the animals and creatures of God’s creation in rice!! next time I would like to make the people out of photos of June, Shelby, Mommy, and Daddy! For this time we just used our Adam and Eve from the other day!
